Sadly there are many families affected by cancer and Marie Curie Cancer Care relies on donations to continue their work. We at CellPath like to help local charities and Welshpool Fire Service announced that the annual Spinathon this year was supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care. As our business is based around the provision of products and services utilised in cancer diagnosis we felt it was appropriate for us to support the cause.
Eleven of our team took part and had a fantastic time, raising £1050 in the process. The Spinathon lasted four hours and it was the responsibility of our team to keep three bikes going for this time.We take away some great memories and aching muscles but the satisfaction that the team came together and helped Marie Curie to make a difference!!
Spinning is a great way of exercising the whole body, utilising a fixed bike with the opportunity to cycle to music and varying the brake to enable hill climbs etc whilst at the same time doing press ups, twists, body freezes etc. Zero impact but very effective!!!
