HemaPerls Kit, Perls Staining for the Detection of Haemosiderin(Ferric salts - Prussian Blue) In an acid environment, ferric ions react with potassium ferrocyanide leading to a precipitate called Ferric Ferrocyanide (Prussian blue).
It points out the presence of a pathological pigment: Haemosiderin.
Kit Contents Mayer Haematoxylin 100ml Acid buffer with potassium ferrocyanide 5ml (x10) The kit is presented in ready to use bottles.
The potassium ferrocyanide powder and the buffer are packed separately in the same bottle.
A simple pressure on the bottle cap initiates the extemporaneous mix.
