Having partnered with renowned Guy's and St. Tomas's NHS Foundation Trust, CellPath's TruSlice Specimen Cut Up System eliminates the guesswork associated with existing cut up procedures and enables accurate and consistent slicing of tissue specimens. Suitable for slicing both fresh and fixed tissue, the system reduces the time taken to gross specimens and ensures optimal fixation and consistent high quality processing of specimens.
The TruSlice utilises colour coded cut inserts to vary the slice thickness (2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm), which can be easily swapped to adjust to your desired thickness of specimen slice. Clear Perspex immobilisation plates allows users to control the pressure applied to a specimen during cut-up, preventing deformation during grossing.
Suggested Accessories include the 'SureCut' dissection board, specifically developed to accommodate the TruSlice system and take up less bench space, the UKAS calibrated steel ruler and 2-5mm calibration set, and our Makroknife 10" Lung Knives.
"TruSlice was very quick to set-up and integrate into our laboratory. As the device ensures ease of cutting consistency, it has made it possible for us to provide greater standardisation of techniques such as tissue freezing and formalin fixation, and microwave tissue processing – this is only possible due to the accuracy of the device and resultant consistent slice thicknesses. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the TruSlice Cut Up System to other laboratories."
